抄録	研究成果の概要 (和文) : 本研究の目的は中国の指導者が、1970年代前半の国内外情勢および台湾の現状をいかに認識し、台湾問題をめぐる一連の交渉をどのように関連付け、戦略的に進めていたのかを分析することであった。具体的には、中国政府が1969年に行ったカナダとの国交正常化交渉から、米中接近、日中国交正常化を経て、1973年初頭に対台湾統一戦線工作を再開する各過程と、それらを通した指導者の認識の変容について、中国、台湾および関係諸国の公開公文書を用いた実証研究を行った。
	研究成果の概要 (英文) : The purpose of this study is to analyze how the political leaders of PRC perceived its internal and international situation in the early 1970s, and how they designed a series of negotiations over the Taiwan issues with Western countries and strategically pursued it. This study, specifically, focused on the normalization with Canada in 1969, the rapprochement with US and the recovery of the UN membership in 1971, the normalization with Japan and FRG in 1972, and the resumption of the united front works toward Taiwan in 1973. Based on the declassified documents of PRC, ROC and the related countries, this study analyze the policy-making process among the PRC’s leaders in each event above, and the transformation of their perceptions of the Taiwan issues through it.
