研究成果の概要 (和文) : 本研究では、知的財産権の取引の多様性に着目し、知財取引の決定要因・影響、知財取引の障壁といった問題について分析を行った。知財取引の決定要因については、ライセンシングや企業合併・買収を通じた知財取引の決定要因について明らかにした。また、知財取引の影響について、企業外部の研究開発の利用が生産性向上に寄与している点を明らかにした。知財取引の障壁の問題については、資本財などの移動の阻害が重要な問題であるため、貿易コストの識別について分析を行った。先行研究が市場供給セレクションバイアスの問題を有しており、その点を修正した結果、貿易コストの規模が大きい点が確認された。
研究成果の概要 (英文) : This research project aims to analyze the determinants, effects and obstacles of intellectual property (IP) transactions. We show the determinants of IP transactions through licensing or mergers and acquisitions. With regards to the effects of IP transactions, we reveal that the use of outside research and development resources improves productivity of firms. There also has been a major issue on trade barriers of IP transactions. Because the obstacles that raise the costs of capital goods movement are significant, we analyze the identification problem of trade costs. In the previous literature, there is a selection bias problem of market supply and negligible trade costs are found. By controlling for such a bias, the large magnitude of trade costs is confirmed.
